It's God's World: An Introduction to the Christian Worldview

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Identify the importance of understanding worldviews.
  2. Describe the basic elements of the Christian worldview.
  3. Compare and contrast the worldview beliefs of Naturalism, Transcendentalism and Humanism.
  4. Describe a Christian view of reality and its implications for the development of a Christian worldview.
  5. Identify the significance of human beings as being created in God's image.
  6. Explain a Christian view of knowledge and truth.
  7. Describe the components of a biblical approach to ethics and values.
  8. Identify the basic tenets of Postmodern thought and its implications for the Christian faith.
  9. Explain the challenges facing Christians in presenting the claims of biblical Christianity to contemporary culture.
