Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will be able
to:
- Identify the importance of understanding worldviews.
- Describe the basic elements of the Christian worldview.
- Compare and contrast the worldview beliefs of Naturalism, Transcendentalism and Humanism.
- Describe a Christian view of reality and its implications for the development of a Christian worldview.
- Identify the significance of human beings as being created in God's image.
- Explain a Christian view of knowledge and truth.
- Describe the components of a biblical approach to ethics and values.
- Identify the basic tenets of Postmodern thought and its implications for the Christian faith.
- Explain the challenges facing Christians in presenting the claims of biblical Christianity to contemporary culture.
